This picture is taken almost a week ago. I can’t describe how freaking awesome our summer getaway was! When we were taking this picture, I was thinking about cliché holiday photos.

The 10 holiday snaps people back home hate to see:

1: The weather report photo
Are you just about to post that screenshot of the weather report of your forthcoming holiday destination showing glorious sunshine and high temperatures?
Just so that you know, the photo was voted the most clichéd holiday snap, according to a new survey. More than half (51 per cent) of those polled regarded the screenshot as one of the top three cheesiest photos, according to hotel search website Top10.com.

2: We’re having a great time! Selfies are the second most hated holiday snaps
Selfies showing what an happy holiday you and your friends are having made it to the second place, with 44 per cent of respondents finding them annoying.

3: Hotdog legs
Some 32 per cent of people said they would like to see fewer photos of tanned and toned legs resting on a beautiful beach on their news feed. The so-called ‘hot dog legs’ photos has become the favourite shot taken by celebrities on their trips and has fast caught-on among regular holidaymakers. But if you want to post a pictures of your legs on the beach, be aware, it is the third most hated holiday photo, accoridng to those stuck at home.

4: Mid-air shot
While an old classic – people jumping in mid-air in excitment – came in at fourth place, with 31 per cent of those polled easily living without having to see such photos.

5: Pushing over / pinching the top of / kissing a landmark
Congratulations on being the 47,365,569th person to pretend to pinch the top of the Eiffel Tower… we’re sure you fooled just as many friends. Yeah right!

6: The ‘Posing with a local’ snap
Posing with alpacas in Peru or selfies with Beefeaters in London – what could be better than a cheeky picture with a local on your holiday.

7: The “Peace” Photo
Stolen from J-Pop and K-Pop stars, the infamous peace sign that has become strongly associated with Asian tourists, is not longer a stereotype. Travellers from all over the globe throw up this hand gesture in front of famous places and tourist attractions.

8: The “Wingman” Photo
While you are in flight, boredom is a high probability. Some choose to relieve themselves of this sentence by taking pictures of airplane wings while in flight. Capturing a bird’s eye view is a special moment and the topographical views from an aerial perspective is breathtaking.

9: Selfies
Oversized sunglasses? Check. Bikini? Check. Beautiful beach as a backdrop? Check. The perfect pout? Check. Oh and a gorgeous sunny day? Check. Good, you’re all set for the perfect holiday selfie.

10: Writing your name in the sand
Ah, creating holiday moments that last all of an hour. Go on, grab that stick and graffiti the hell out of that sand.
